The village Kufr A-Dik is situated in Salfit area, nearby Bruqin, between the settlements Bruchin, Alay Zahav and Pedu'el. A new settlement is now being planned to take its place on the village's remaining agricultural lands: Leshem, which is supposed to inhibit 400 Jewish families.

Some 200 demonstrators joined the Friday protest. They marched from the center of the village towards Bruqin and the main road leading to the settlement. A number of military jeeps awaited the protesters as the approached the main road, however, this did not deter the protesters, who came very close to the jeeps and positioned themselves approximately 10 meters away from the soldiers. From this short range, the army shot live ammunition, both in the air and at the demonstrators, for more than half an hour. Another scene of confrontation was later formed inside the village, where again the army used live ammunition in an attempt to disperse the demonstration. Fortunately, no one was injured.

This was the second Friday demonstration held in the village, and the local popular committee plans to continue holding weekly demonstrations against settlement expansion and confiscation of lands.
