Medics treating the injured man
At around 7 AM of March 21st, a Palestinian man walking from the tiny hamlet of Tuba, where he is from, towards the village of alTuwani, was stabbed by a masked man, apparently from the Jewish-only settlement of Havat Ma'on, located nearby. The man was waylaid by the settler near the built-up are of alTuwani, where both him and the donkey he was leading were attacked. The man suffered stubbing wounds in the upper abdomen and right arms.
A resident of alTuwani who saw the stabbing alerted other residents of the village, as well as internationals who were present in the village, but the assailant managed to escape. The injured man was treated for first aid by a Palestinian ambulance that was rushed to the place, and which later transported him to a hospital in Hebron, where he required surgery. He is now recuperating and in stable condition.
The witness to the stabbing asserts that he recognizes the masked settler as one on of those also involved in a March 19th attack on the villagers grazing their sheep and tending to their lands together with Israeli and international solidarity activists.
