I have recently learned of the arrest of Palestinian leader, Abdallah Abu Rahmah. Abu Rahmah was arrested and is awaiting trial for his participation in the non-violent demonstrations in the West Bank village of Bil’in. As my representative to Israel, I implore you to investigate his detention by submitting an official letter of inquiry about his case. As a believer in justice, I cannot sit idly by if Abdallah and his fellow villagers are denied the right to protest the illegal theft of their land. I will continue to contact you about this important matter.
