Two Children Taken to Hospital after Latest Military Incursion in Bil’in

Israeli soldiers enter the village of Bil’in with three military jeeps. Clashes broke out which lasted for over one hour. The clashes only ended when two children, aged 14 and 15, were hit with rubber coated steel bullets and taken to hospital. Soldiers are still on the outskirts of the village.

At midday, the Israeli army entered Bil’in with a small force including three military jeeps. The jeeps came into the village from the western gate of the Separation wall, drove through the village and stopped at the village mosque in the center.  Then clashes erupted as a group of youth began throwing stone and demanding that the soldiers stop the military incursion.  The soliders responded with tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets. The clashes ended after one hour with two children injuried by rubber coated steel bullets.  

Jamal (14) was shot with two bullets on his chin, while Najmi (15) was hit in his leg. An ambulance was called to take them both to the hospital in Ramallah for treatment. At the time of reporting, army jeeps are located close to the Wall, and people are worried that the jeeps will enter again. The condition of the children is stable
